Florida Safe Server certification is mandatory for all alcohol service. Rates run $26–$42/hr. Events confirmed 24–48 hours; same-day in Miami and Orlando.

Art Basel staffing books out 8-10 weeks in advance.
December Miami — Art Basel Miami Beach, Art Miami, Design Miami, NADA — fills the city's entire event labor market for three weeks. We start building Art Basel rosters in late September. If you're calling in late November, you'll get what's left.
Hurricane season is a contract clause, not a weather forecast.
June through November, every outdoor Florida event contract includes specific weather-call protocols: who calls the cancellation, when we pull crew, how much you owe for partially completed shifts. We call it early, protect the crew, reconcile the invoice honestly.
Florida heat is a safety protocol from May through October.
Outdoor events between May and October require mandatory heat illness prevention: shade rotation schedules, hydration stations, wet-bulb monitoring above 90°F. Crew who get heat exhaustion during a load-in are a workers' comp claim and a staffing emergency.
Florida Safe Server is not optional.
The Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco requires current server certification for any staff handling alcohol at licensed events. We verify certification before every placement. An expired Florida Safe Server card grounds a placement immediately.
Florida's tourism infrastructure changes the labor market.
Hospitality labor in Orlando, Miami Beach, and the Gulf Coast resort corridor is always in motion — theme park hiring, cruise ship pre-boarding events, resort conferences. Our W-2 model competes with the 1099 gig economy. We win on reliability and compliance.
Florida has two seasons: peak and summer heat.
November through April is Florida's event season — mild weather, snowbirds, and maximum conventions. May through October is heat season — locals only, outdoor protocols, hurricane watch. We staff both, but the planning documents look very different.

Florida Event Market
Miami is the Western Hemisphere's leading art market city, hosting Art Basel Miami Beach alongside Design Miami, Art Miami, NADA, and satellite fairs that collectively drive 3 weeks of peak event labor demand each December. The Orlando Convention Center (OCCC) is one of the three largest convention centers in the United States, hosting 200+ annual events. Tampa's Channel District has become the Southeast's fastest-growing corporate waterfront event corridor since 2020.
Florida event staffing operates in two distinctly different seasonal modes. November through April is peak season — snowbird migration, Art Basel, convention after convention. May through October is heat and hurricane season — outdoor protocols mandatory, storm contingency clauses in every coastal contract, and a labor market that shrinks as hospitality workers follow the tourists north.
