Port Whitby Marina and Heydenshore Pavilion. The Town-run 420-slip marina at 301 Watson Street West anchors the harbour; the Heydenshore Pavilion seats 240 banquet-style with a kitchen and stage on the lake. Town rentals carry real paperwork — liability-insurance minimums and an AGCO Special Occasion Permit when alcohol pours — which a licensed crew's employer of record is already built for.
Victoria Fields. The open grounds beside Iroquois Park take Whitby Ribfest each July and the Canada Day fireworks. Festival builds here are gate-and-grounds work: fencing lines, vendor rows, and evening crowd peaks a few hundred metres from the six-pad complex.
Brooklin: the fairgrounds and the village. 07The Fine Print
A standing crew still needs a licence behind it.
In Ontario, the expensive shortcut is treating event staff as misclassified contractors instead of employees: back pay, penalties, and joint-liability exposure under Ontario's Employment Standards Act, 2000.
