Best Agencies
Best Event Staffing Agencies in the US: How Leading Providers Compare
There is no single best event staffing agency in the United States, because the agencies that show up when buyers search for one are built differently: some employ their own hourly staff in a handful of cities, some run national rosters through local offices, some specialize in crowd management or hospitality, and one, TempGuru, coordinates orders through vetted local partner agencies rather than employing anyone itself. This comparison covers the eleven providers observed across TempGuru's target result sets under the methodology below, plus TempGuru with its own model disclosed. Every statement about a provider comes from that provider's own website, and the date each page was read is recorded, so a buyer can re-check anything before signing. Ratings, awards and superlatives are not used.

How these providers were selected
The set is the agencies buyers actually encounter, not a curated favorites list. In September 2026 TempGuru reviewed twelve live Google result sets for event staffing queries that a buyer would use: the generic agency query, city agency queries (Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle) and event-type queries (trade show, festival, corporate, convention, concert, stadium). A staffing agency qualified for this comparison if it appeared in at least two of those twelve result sets, or if it was one of the two agencies named by TempGuru's own competitive brief and appeared in at least one. Gig platforms (Instawork, Qwick, Gigpro) were excluded because they are marketplaces rather than agencies; they are compared separately in the gig app versus staffing agency cost comparison . Directories and job boards were excluded. Service models (agency, marketplace, software) are compared on the versus page ; this page compares agencies.
That rule produced eleven agencies: NYE Staffing, Kinetic Events, Trinity Event Staffing, Stadium People, Premium Event Staffing, Julia Valler Event Staffing, Northwest Premier Event Staffing, Eleven8 Event Staffing, Elevate Global, Premier Staff and EventStaff.com. A provider whose published pages could not be read on the check date would have been omitted rather than described from memory; all eleven were read.

Comparison criteria
Each provider was checked on the same points, from its own pages, on September 7, 2026: the markets it states it serves; whether it states who employs its event staff; what it states about insurance; whether it publishes any rates and in what form; the response or fill window it states; and the event types it lists. Where a provider publishes nothing on a point the table says "not stated", which is a question for the buyer to ask, not a finding against the provider. The general scoring method is in the how to choose an event staffing agency guide; this page supplies the provider facts to score.

Two providers are worth a separate note. Stadium People holds state security licenses and describes itself as a crowd management company; licensed security is a regulated service TempGuru does not offer, so a buyer whose scope includes it has a different shortlist. Trinity's event security is a different scope: its forms describe it as usher-level, unlicensed security, and its event staff page says unarmed.

Employment models compared
Three patterns appear in the set. Julia Valler, NYE Staffing and Kinetic Events state that their event staff are their own W-2 employees (Julia Valler and NYE on their Los Angeles pages; Kinetic on its Dallas location page, which describes it as a W-2 staffing agency whose W-2 teams carry workers' compensation and liability coverage), so the agency on the contract is the employer of record. EventStaff.com states that it handles payroll and HR for its staff without naming a classification on the pages read. The remaining seven publish nothing about employment on the pages reviewed.
TempGuru's model is the fourth pattern. For US orders, every worker supplied through TempGuru is employed as a W-2 employee by the vetted local partner agency assigned to the event; that agency runs payroll, tax withholding, unemployment insurance, workers' compensation and employment records, and TempGuru owns client contracting and billing, partner-agency assignment, order communication, scheduling coordination and replacement coordination. TempGuru does not fill US client orders with 1099 gig workers, and Canadian orders are staffed by workers employed locally under Canadian rules. The W-2 event staffing page sets out the allocation. For US orders, workers are W-2 employees of the assigned partner agency. For Canadian orders, workers are employed locally by the assigned partner agency under applicable Canadian employment and payroll rules.
Why it matters to a buyer. Payroll, withholding, workers' compensation and employment records follow the employer, and the certificate of insurance should name that entity. "Not stated" is the first written question to ask any bidder; the COI review brief covers how to match the employer to the certificate.

Coverage compared
Regional specialists. Trinity (Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston), Northwest Premier (Washington State) and Premium Event Staffing (Colorado, Illinois, Texas) publish a defined footprint. A published regional footprint makes local sourcing easier to verify; it does not prove where the assigned workers for your date are based, so ask.
National rosters through local offices. Kinetic Events (sixteen cities), Eleven8 (34 cities), Julia Valler (three cities), NYE Staffing and Premier Staff (nationwide with a Los Angeles base) describe local staff pools in named markets plus deployment elsewhere. The question for a buyer is which markets carry an established roster and which are served by travel.
Enterprise and global. EventStaff.com positions itself at projects above $250,000 and Elevate Global as a global agency with a US operation.
Coordinated. TempGuru states a capability to coordinate staffing through contracted local partner agencies in 300+ U.S. and Canadian markets, with availability confirmed for each order, defined on its methodology page as a rounded lower bound of qualifying market records, not a count of completed events, with availability confirmed for each order. That is a different claim from "we have staff in 300 cities", and the page says so.

Pricing structures compared
Most agencies quote; a few publish. NYE Staffing publishes role rates for Los Angeles and packaged service levels; Premier Staff publishes Los Angeles starting rates by role with a $5,000 contract minimum; Trinity publishes a $40 per hour standard rate for non-holiday dates with a four-hour minimum on its Texas staffing forms, noting that last-minute and holiday rates may be higher and that parking and travel can be extra; Eleven8 states flat hourly pricing without figures. The others quote by form or phone.
TempGuru publishes planning ranges by city, with a four-hour minimum and no national rate. Chicago's guide (updated August 5, 2026), for example, lists general labor, registration and crowd control at $34 to $40 per hour, team leads at $44 to $50 and specialized roles including brand ambassadors at $50.50 to $70.50. The published rate includes worker pay, employer payroll taxes (FICA, FUTA and SUTA), workers' compensation, general liability, TempGuru coordination and the partner agency's markup; overtime and holiday premiums, rush charges, parking, travel, uniforms, client-required background checks, gratuities and cancellation fees can be separate and are identified in the written quote. Billing is one invoice per city per week, net 30, with a deposit on orders above $1,000 estimated value. See the Chicago event staffing guide for the full table.
Published figures are not comparable until normalized. A starting rate for a server, a loaded bill rate that includes employer costs and a package price describe different things. Compare the same role, city, shift length, minimum, included employer costs and separate charges before comparing numbers. EventStaff.com's TempGuru does not publish a companywide position-coverage rate. rate, by policy.

How to choose for your event type
| Event type | What to weight | Where to start |
|---|---|---|
| Trade shows and conventions | Registration and booth roles, credential handling, multi-hall staging, move-in and move-out crews | Kinetic Events, Eleven8, NYE Staffing and Premier Staff list trade show and convention staff; TempGuru's scope is on the trade show staffing page |
| Festivals and outdoor events | Gate, parking and guest-services depth, heat and weather planning, multi-day relief | Kinetic Events, Elevate Global and Premium Event Staffing list festival work; TempGuru's scope is on the festival staffing page |
| Stadiums and arenas | Crowd management, licensing where security is in scope, gate waves | Stadium People (licensed crowd management), Trinity (Texas), Kinetic Events (venue staffing) |
| Hospitality, galas and private events | Server and bartender depth, uniform standards, alcohol service credentials | Julia Valler, NYE Staffing, Premier Staff, Northwest Premier, Premium Event Staffing, Trinity |
| Brand activations and street teams | Ambassador training, product knowledge, data capture | Elevate Global, Eleven8, Kinetic Events, Premier Staff |
| Multi-city programs | One counterparty, consistent employer terms across markets, consolidated invoicing | EventStaff.com (enterprise), Kinetic Events, Eleven8, TempGuru (one contract, invoices per city per week) |
Whatever the type, send finalists the same one-page scope and score the written answers on the quality framework . If you want TempGuru's terms for a specific city and date, request staffing and you will get the applicable city rates in writing and an availability response after scope and rates are approved.

Methodology and date checked
Provider pages were read on September 7, 2026: nyeventsny.com (Los Angeles service page), kineticevents.com (homepage and Dallas location page, with its job postings confirming the W-2 statement), trinityeventstaffing.com (homepage, event staff, wait staff and staffing request forms), stadiumpeople.com, premiumeventstaffing.com, juliavaller.com (Los Angeles service page), northwestpremiereventstaffing.com, elev8.la, weareelevate.global (US page), premierstaff.com (Los Angeles service page) and eventstaff.com. The twelve result sets used for selection were run on September 1, 2026 (Google, United States locale, desktop). TempGuru's own facts come from /about/metrics, /w2-event-staffing and the Chicago city guide, read September 7, 2026. This page will be re-checked when providers change their published statements; the visible updated date records the last check. Nothing on this page is a review or an endorsement of any provider, and no provider paid to be included.
Frequently asked questions
Which event staffing agency is the best?
It depends on the event. This page records what eleven agencies that appear in buyer search results publish on employment model, coverage, insurance and pricing, so you can weight the criteria that matter for your scope. Three agencies state W-2 employment of their staff, three publish a defined regional footprint, and four publish some form of rates; most do not publish the rest.
How were these agencies chosen?
By appearance in the search results buyers use: any staffing agency found in at least two of twelve event staffing result sets reviewed in September 2026, plus two agencies named in TempGuru's competitive brief that appeared in at least one. Gig platforms, directories and job boards were excluded.
Is TempGuru an event staffing agency?
No. TempGuru is a coordinator: it contracts with the client, assigns a vetted local partner agency, and coordinates the order, scheduling and replacement efforts. For US orders the partner agency employs the crew as W-2 employees. TempGuru is included in the comparison with that model disclosed.
Do national agencies publish their rates?
A few publish figures (NYE Staffing and Premier Staff for Los Angeles; Trinity a $40 per hour standard rate with a four-hour minimum in Texas), and TempGuru publishes planning ranges for each city guide with a four-hour minimum. Most agencies in the set quote by form. Published figures describe different things, so normalize them before comparing.
How should I compare agencies with no published employment model?
Ask in writing which legal entity employs the crew and what it handles: payroll, withholding, unemployment insurance, workers' compensation, employment records. Then match that entity to the certificate of insurance. A provider that will not answer the employer question is eliminated early under the how-to-choose method.
