The Arvest Convention Center, the former Cox Business Convention Center renamed in 2025, anchors the Deco civic core with 275,000 square feet of hall. A few blocks north, the Tulsa Arts District runs Cain's Ballroom, the 1924 Western-swing room still booking national tours, next to the BOK Center, the 19,000-seat Cesar Pelli arena that holds the Tulsa Oilers and the biggest touring shows. Northeast, the Greenwood District holds ONEOK Field, where the Tulsa Drillers play Double-A and FC Tulsa plays soccer. The three sit close, but each district loads in on its own terms, so the plan reads the neighborhood, not just the address. Route 66 threads the tourism year through all of it.

ONEOK Field, Greenwood. The Drillers ballpark in the historic Greenwood District, also home to FC Tulsa soccer. A ballgame, an arena show, and a convention can land the same night, so calls stagger against the shared downtown lots.

Picture a touring act at the BOK Center on a weeknight, sixteen thousand through the doors by the time the openers take the stage. The day starts on the floor. Load-in and stage labor report at nine to a quiet bowl, because an arena show is a rigging-and-barricade operation for most of the day before it is a crowd. At five the gate crew takes the scanners and the bag check, crowd control sets the bowl and the pit rail, and guest services opens the box office.
