Buckeye-strong, Midwest-grade event staffing.

Ohio Event Staffing — W-2 crews across 10 markets, Columbus to Cleveland.

Columbus is Ohio's fastest-growing convention city. Cleveland's lakefront transforms every summer. Ohio State football brings 100,000 people to campus seven Saturdays a year.

We staff 10 Ohio cities — Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo, Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Dublin, and Findlay — with W-2 crews, workers' comp, liability, and a paper trail. OSU game days are a line item, not a surprise.

TempGuru's Ohio operation is part of a national network spanning 300+ markets and 5,000+ events staffed in the past 12 months.

★ Editor's Note ★

Yes — we staff Ohio. Columbus to Cleveland. Every worker is a W-2 employee of an insured partner agency. Ohio State game-day logistics are handled; demand pricing is disclosed on the quote, never discovered after.

TempGuru covers 10 Ohio cities with W-2 event staff. Columbus is the primary market — Ohio State University events, the Greater Columbus Convention Center, and a growing corporate event calendar. Cleveland anchors the northeast with the Huntington Convention Center, Progressive Field, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame event circuit. Cincinnati runs the summer festival calendar harder than any Midwest city its size. Ohio's minimum wage is $10.70/hr; our event rates start at $22/hr. Events confirmed 24–48 hours; same-day in Columbus and Cleveland.

The summary.

  • 2-hour replacement SLA.

#OSU

Ohio State game days are their own logistics category.

Ohio Stadium seats 102,780. Seven home games per season means seven days where the entire Columbus event labor market tightens by 30%. Hotels fill, parking disappears, and every hospitality worker has three competing options. We pre-book Columbus crews for game weekends starting in August. Waiting until the week before is not a strategy.

#ROCK HALL

Rock Hall induction week remakes Cleveland's calendar.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony brings 10,000+ out-of-town attendees to Cleveland. Pre-induction parties, press events, and satellite concerts run simultaneously across the Flats, Playhouse Square, and the lakefront. We staff the full week.

#CINCINNATI

Cincinnati's summer festival calendar is the densest in Ohio.

Taste of Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Music Festival, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati (second-largest in the world), and a full fireworks and river festival season mean Cincinnati's outdoor event labor runs at capacity from May through October. Book Cincinnati summer staffing 6 weeks out.

#NFL HOF

Canton's NFL Hall of Fame weekend is a once-a-year surge.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement week drives 200,000 visitors to a city of 69,000. Every hotel within 40 miles fills. Event labor in Canton, Akron, and Youngstown tightens simultaneously. We staff the Hall of Fame Festival, the Enshrinement Game, and ancillary events.

#WINTER

Ohio winters shorten the outdoor season to 5 months.

Outdoor events run May through September with any reliability. October through April, most events move indoors — convention centers, arenas, stadiums. We staff the full year, but the outdoor festival season is a sprint, not a marathon. Plan accordingly.

#MIDWEST

Midwest operational culture: show up, do the work, no drama.

Ohio event clients expect crews who are on time, in dress code, and fully briefed. No performance, no branding theater — just professional execution. We recruit Ohio crews who meet that standard. The Midwest standard is not negotiable.

Ohio is the state that surprised me the most. Before we built out the Ohio operation I thought it was three convention cities with a college football problem. It's actually four distinct markets that barely overlap. Columbus runs on OSU events, state government, and a tech startup scene that didn't exist five years ago. Cleveland is a lakefront venue story — Progressive Field, the convention center, and a Rock Hall event calendar that makes national music media pay attention. Cincinnati is a summer festival machine that quietly runs some of the highest-volume outdoor staffing days in the Midwest. And then there's Canton, Akron, and Youngstown — a northeast Ohio corridor where the NFL Hall of Fame week alone outweighs anything those three cities do for the rest of the year combined. We've built the local agency relationships to staff all four. One contract. One invoice. That's Ohio.

Ohio event market

Columbus is Ohio's fastest-growing convention city — the Greater Columbus Convention Center hosts 200+ annual events, and Ohio State University generates one of the largest recurring single-day staffing demands in the Midwest through its home football schedule. Cleveland's Huntington Convention Center, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and a lakefront venue district anchored by Progressive Field and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse sustain a year-round events calendar. Cincinnati's summer festival circuit — Taste of Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Music Festival, and Oktoberfest Zinzinnati — runs from May through October at capacity.

Ohio's event market geographic spread mirrors the state's industrial footprint: Columbus and Cleveland are the two major poles, with Cincinnati as a strong independent market, and a northeast Ohio corridor (Akron, Canton, Youngstown) that runs at low volume most of the year and surges dramatically during NFL Hall of Fame week and major sports postseason runs.
