Directly across the water, downtown North Little Rock holds Simmons Bank Arena and the Argenta entertainment blocks. West of downtown, War Memorial Stadium sits in Midtown's park district, and the State Fairgrounds lie southwest.
The working question on any two-venue night is the bridge, not the miles. Arena crowds and downtown events pull on the same river crossings within the same hour, so crews are assigned a bank for the night and call times are set to the crossing they will actually use. Venue and logistics notes
Simmons Bank Arena, North Little Rock. The metro's arena sits on the river's north bank. Concert loads run the arena dock on show-day clocks, and crews working it get staged on the north side so the pre-show bridge crush never touches the call time.
Statehouse Convention Center and the Robinson Center. The south bank's convention floor and its performance-hall-and-ballroom neighbor sit blocks apart downtown. Both work off real docks, and double-booked nights are common enough that rosters plan for them.
River Market and First Security Amphitheater. The entertainment district runs along the south riverfront, with First Security Amphitheater in Riverfront Park carrying the big outdoor dates: a 7,000-person capacity but only 1,375 fixed seats, so lawn crowds drive heavy gate and guest-services counts. Summer dates run open-air with heat rotations on every sheet.

In Arkansas, the expensive shortcut is paying event staff as 1099 contractors: back taxes, penalties, and joint-employer liability under federal FLSA and Arkansas Workers' Compensation Act (Ark. Code Ann. § 11-9-101 et seq.).
