DATCU Stadium. A 30,100-seat football venue with 21 suites; game-day crews work gates, concourses, and premium levels on a campus traffic grid that locks down hours before kick.
The Super Pit. Concerts, commencements, and tournaments share the coliseum's calendar; commencement weeks run multiple ceremonies a day with fast floor turns.

Texas pins its wage floor to the federal $7.25 and Sec. 62.0515 blocks any city ordinance above it, but in a town with 50,000 students the statute is beside the point: competition for reliable people sets the real rate. Student labor is where 1099 shortcuts hide.
In Texas, the expensive shortcut is paying event staff as 1099 contractors: back taxes, penalties, and joint-employer liability under federal FLSA and Texas workers' compensation law (Texas Labor Code, Title 5).
